The Conference Center at George Williams College is located in charming Williams Bay, Wis., across the lake from the town of Lake Geneva. Centrally located, we will be in close proximity to four major metropolitan areas—about an hour from Milwaukee, Madison and Rockford and two hours from downtown Chicago.
As part of the Geneva Lakes area, the region is historically known as a resort location for prominent Chicago families who flocked to the area after the Chicago Fire of 1871. Summer mansions were built by families while waiting for the City of Chicago to be rebuilt. Today, the banks of Geneva Lake are still lined with these magnificent mansions, and it remains a popular area for residents and visitors alike.
There is always something happening in the Lake Geneva area, no matter what time of year it is. The campus is home to Music by the Lake, the summer musical festival that brings a variety of music to Ferro Pavilion each summer. Events continue year-round with Sundays at 4, the exciting series that presents today’s leaders in arts and ideas. Additionally, be sure to visit Lake Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Walworth County Convention and Visitors Bureau for a calendar of events, ideas on where to dine and shop and so much more!
